Late 2019 -February, 2020
Along about March, I found that I had begun to take pictures that I didn't share. They were the private pictures-the one's of Nathan that reminded me how proud I was of him. He was beginning to have bad pain in his back, and as we waited for that Pain Clinic to help us, we ran into Covid. The very day that we were to finally get some help with pain, that clinic closed. As we did the best we could to cope with pain, leading us through a pretty dark nasty month of overmedication, as we backed up, the weight loss started, the back pain increased and we looked for any option we could. Within that search, I collected texts, appointment dates, little bits of data here and there, with a few more stolen pictures and this blog became a place to store things.
Well, we all know how this year has gone, but I felt it fitting to finish filling in the details. The time we had as a family was incredibly strengthening. And so, it is with great pride for Nathan, in tribute to how he withstood the pain, and for our family, who has no regrets for doing all we could do together so very well at the time, that I finish this up.
December 12th is Nathan's birthday. His 59 years and 7 months here made such a difference to this earth. You can see it in his family.
We love you Nathan.
