Healing begins

 Aug 10 (Text to Team Nathan)

Well team - This has been a day. Our family has truly been amazing.

Today after telling Nathan goodbye, I took a good nap, ate some pinwheel sandwiches and we've just made a reservation for tomorrow night at the beach.

It will be nice to sit and watch the waves.

Aug 14 - An Email sent by Tiersa to her little School staff.

Hi, Ya'all I'm not sure if you have heard, but I am now in this spot. 

My husband, Nathan passed away on Monday.  How fast that went after the filled with cancer diagnosis in mid July.  How difficult it was to take in that we were there...and now that I am here.  But, for  now, It feels like it did when he was away last fall for the month training in Hermiston. 

Tho, I suppose, really, this is much lonelier than that. 

I am a strong woman. I know that life goes on in a new way. 

I am thankful that school is beginning again soon, (even tho, that may look the new way too), and look forward to our interaction again.   
While I know that I process internally... will most always have my game face on, and know grief kicks and punches at the weirdest times. So, I do moment to moment and allow for flexibility - I mean, what else is there to do?!
